The Phylosopher Bug - #00

Helo, and Welcome to my Adventure Blog.

Action Tale is a storytelling style, in which I create a fuctional universe from scratch, but leaving clear the setting influences I use. This way, and in future posts I'll write about the processes you can create a living universe using whatever the players want to use, which includes other author's characters, including names, or even a social environment, which includes earth kind or totally alienist. I'm very proud of my players, who let me play a story in which they don't even know they're heroes, antiheroes or vilains, or even antivilains, a character that may happen to become a legend, because my House in here is called The House of Epic Destiny.

So, Be welcome to The House of Epic Destiny.

    Briefing

Hadesh is a takkar. He's name is not Hadesh. He comes from Treiyka, from the Spot Tribe, whose rangers watch every hole into the desert world of Treiyka. He lived a life of worship, in which he didn't had a life, so many people were there to serve him, to wash his feet, while people lived in a total harsh world, he always had food, while people had almost nothing to eat.

One day he comes to Hadesh, a drug dealer with many contacts, and influence in takkar society.

Having the only oportunity to get off that superior being life, he fled.

The twin world of Toj is the world of the ejik race, a race a bit weaker than takkar, which needs more water, and needs to sleep every day.

It's right oka, thinks the takkar, for he's a beast and that would help him to have a life, anyway.

Now, more than three years passed, and Hadesh, who adopted his saviour's name, comes back from the Astral plane to enter a new era of his own lifetime. He immediately recognized the sense of danger in the voice of his friend and fellow group member, the noble priatel Torian, when he explained the meeting with the family Council, an hour ago, and he said simply this.

"The invading Abbas took total control of our empire, Royal Tachiza, but my family's territories, because we're allies to Abbas long ago, but the situation is bad. Hadesh, (Torian stared at him), they're looking for a beast. The description of the beast is someone with a bag", and that was clear.

This is the Story told about the fundamental bases of Akkoya's Mythology, which starts with a single Story and ends in an infinite labyrinth.

Hope, despair and very difficult choices are what defines it.

So, Be welcome to the Epic Destiny.

(February 28, 603 AGC, Priatel territory, Royal Tachiza empire)

Hadesh walks in a corner, and it starts annoying everyone.

He murmurs "They know. I know they know", all the time, and the group try not to think about what he means with that. Of course they know. They'd almost had the revelation of their life, while three godesses were present to stop what their friend asked that strange woman, called Witch of the Planes. But no, he's even more stressed, and nothing they say take him from that terrible thoughts.

    - Hadesh, I've said to you, already. They say they didn't invaded Priatel territory because they think the Troll Phylosopher can be an exchange for the beast they're looking for.
    - He's my Master, Torian.
    - We know that, Hadesh, (tried Tack), but you can't solve every mystery on the world.
    - They're looking for me. I know it.
    - Right oka, (said princess Lena), and you're going to fall into the trap? You teaches me better.
    - I know, Karistalla. I'm trying to think.
    - Entering despair as you're doing right now, right?
    - I'm trying to think, but they'd know what I think, and they'd grapple me on sight.
    - They, lizardee?
    - You all don't understand what we discovered at that city, on the Astral plane. Now, I know there's a huge, a massive order in the world. And they want me, now.
    - Oka, pawn. I guess we can only go to talk with the Troll, (resumed Tack), and see what he has to say about what's going on. What you think?
    - Shit. (Hadesh stoped, thinking). There's no other way.
    - I'll get the guard ready, and I'm going with you. (concluded Torian). This way I know how can I influence the invasion, and I have an idea.
    - Very well, lord. (approved the princess).

Three hour later, they stoped at the entrance for the Troll valley. They have to wait, until the fire's set up there, or otherwise the territory will take action against them. The walking til there was fast, or at least was what Lena thought, because they've walked day and days at the Astral, she always in the front, watching for traps, for secret entrances on the very ground, for natural constructs, and the like.

On the front of the Troll's cave, there he was.

    - Come. Why did you took so long?
    - Well, Troll. My family urged my presence, but we so decided to come to you.
    - Very well, lord Drazci. Let's talk, because you need to know a long story. You, my apprentice, you sit on my side, and pay much attention to my words. Here.
    - You know everything, already?
    - I have ears on every place on this empire, Hadesh.

The enormous Troll arranged a barbecue for eating, his most loved food. The Kree, the giant mantis his mount, hunted two cows tonight, and it's still night.
So, about four in the morning, they settled the important talking.

    - First, I'd like to ask you, Torian, to hand this letter to your family Council, with the most important notes your family will need in near future.
    - Thanks, Troll - the mage got the tube, with a divine rune on it.
    - You know, master?
    - I only know, Hadesh, (he started), that my time here seems to have ended. I know they're looking for a beast, and even if I was a bit stupid, I'd know who they're looking for.
    - You're going - Hadesh didn't asked, but affirmed that.
    - Well,... yes.
    - Why? - Hadesh just didn't understood, why doing that.
    - They're not this enemy. The Abbas want an advantage into the war, and they already know you carry the very solution for the future.
    - It's mine.
    - Not to use, Hadesh? You really think this shouldn't be used? They want to grant Magic will be stable, and a proper power, I agree, Ayasta's idea of magic is really great. I'd better use a power based on my only knowledge of myself, of my own selfcontrol, than praying to a god. But understand, my apprentice, that everything passes. Event the most powerful immortals, they'll vanish one day and so, what's left? Their work. Their memory. That's our real contribution to society, the very memory of our lives after we passaed away.
    - I,... (Hadesh didn't found the words)
    - Let's talk about an important thing, a thing we can't wait. (pause). This place. I'm a guardian of a place, a very dangerous place of power. You all know the rocks, down the valley. This place can't be unguarded, and I decided to pass the responsability to you, Hadesh.
    - Me?
    - Yes, you. This place must be forever secure. The rocks down there, they guard a prison. There's an Antigod buried in here.

No one said a word, for they all know what that is and how dangerous it is, for sure.

    - You'll be the next guardian, Hadesh. I have all my stuff ready, and as soon as you agree, I'll be heading to the Abbas empire, to serve as a magic scholar at the war. You may have passed unnoticed to this, but the monotheist empire, Trappke, is gathering forces, strong forces, and they're coming. This is the first step into open warfare, which is exactly what the monotheist empire wants.
    - Fanatics.
    - Yes, Tack. Precisely.
    - It's an enormous power, and no one can stop that.
    - Precisely again, professor.
    - I don't see.
    - But you will, princess. Until this all ended, you'll have the most difficult choices of us all, and you'll remember my words, that you're the one who'll grant us all a chance. And I mean the living, us all. You'll have to chose, in a number of dangerous ways, but we're here. Don't forget that. We're here to remember you of who you are, and where the world needs you, needs us, or life will end, passing through a dead end, and all we know will mean absolutly nothing afterwards.
    - Lena has a curse.
    - Well, my apprentice, you carrie a small man on your back, all the time, because you're a mount, and Tack will probably remember, and you're complaining about she to have difficult choices? I think Saint Balder's told you, that everyone needs to win over their own destiny.
    - So, this doesn't ends my problem.
    - You have the choice. This is all about choice, remember the gods and godesses you've already meet, some in person, and remember they all let the coices to the mortals. This, my apprentice, is exactly what will let you with the choices to make.
    - Right oka. Then, I'll be your successor. I accept.
    - Very in time. I'll let the Abbas immortals to know this, at this very moment. Wait. (pause). Right. The invasion's ended, and the heirs of the five Dukes will be resealed as soon as I get there.
    - This is it? All this? You're simply going? Abdicating from everything?
    - Oh, no, Hadesh. I'm not abdicating anything. They promised to treat me well, and the Royal Tachiza will need a treaty to unite the empires at future war. This is all we needed, after all. I have my guardian powers passed to you, at this very moment. Please, let me go.
    - You can go, Master. I'll see you, when it comes possible.
    - Thank you, Hadesh the guardian. (he took his backpack, and stand). I'll need to go. Think you doesn't care, but the nightlings need to be freed from the Mummy's ties. There's no one with power enough to do that, if not me, so this is the time we say goodbye.

Everyone said goodbye, farwell and the Troll's gone.

    - Now, Hadesh. You're the guardian, and we'll help you to keep this place of power safe.
    - Thank you, Torian.

Then, he took his decision in silence.

At first, he didn't know, but in some minutes of talking, he noticed he already made his decidion, and he only needed to say her name to make everything complete.

After a feast, the group let the takkar beast, now guardian, alone.

The Troll's territory is a valley. There's a strong grey mountain, where's the cave. A living place, made that by the Troll all this time. On the other side, there's a deep but narrow cave, in which the salamanders live in a place full of fire and heat.
An only passage way, from the south, and at a distance, the frozen lands, a very high mountain, in which Torian usually train elementalist skills.

The prison, and so the road to the north frontier's back the salamander's cave mountain. A number of giant mushroom forest will be found going north, but only away from the roads.

    Hadesh meditated in silence.

He knows what to do, and there's no more waiting.

This way, he breath again and again, knowing every bird can be a spy, that soon everyone will know there's a new hermit at the Troll's valley.

At the end, it's all about a man and his choices.

    Then, he said her name.

    - Midoroshi.

    (End of Session)

    Some Considerations necessary

What more Hadesh could do, to protect his fellow friends?

    Hope you're enjoying your reading,...
