The Astral (Two)

Alloi, everyone.

This is a second day adventure at the Astral plane, that runned from 20:12 May 01, 2010, but it was a short day of play, of only four hours. We passed most of the time discussing the setting, and what the players want, 'cause a player without a goal is a master's nightmare, so don't miss the sequence of the adventure. Remember the posts are reverse, and it all starts at the older posts. Thanks to Sheep, who's always trying to mediate things within the group, but that extends to Lord. My friend Demo also take notes of everything, and that helps me to keep my notes updated.

(Previously)

At the moment they got to the room of passage, a giant Amorphious with many eyes, a type of Abyssal, appeared at the windows and casted paralyze at the first in line.

It was Flausin.

They had gathered at the passage, and they were at the other side.

They did it, and teleported, just in time.

Flausin fell to the ground, but Torian levitated him.

It took four hours to the alchemist Daytel to make a potion to cure that. These paralyzes can't be cured by normal Negation, explained the bakemono hunter.

At the same time, the group was investigating the area.

Big ratlings, extense areas of savage magic, beetle the size of a table, strange clouds in the sky, christal trees, small fungi life, but black, a smell of rot, and a purple water obviously not pure. This is the place the coordinates takes to, they see on the maps.

Resume of this Day of Play

The trigemei worlds, as well as the rest of the Universe, are all connected by the Astral plane, which is in a way a higher plane compared to others.

It's full of creatures, but they doesn't change much as it happens at the Dream.

Professor Primus decided to make his weekly ritual of Arcana, but there he sees traces of divine energy risking the sky in all directions. It means gods can't hide their influences at the Astral. It may be good. Tack Primus, even he himself being a religion master for the Academy of Magic, doesn't like the divine, because they create a sense that everything's under control, while it's not.

He invokes his staff, and start to walk side by side with Hadesh.

Soon, they see the natural inhabitant of this area are giant beetles, and one came to see who they are. It came running, and stoped only measures away.

"Ggghhhrrroooaahh!", shouted the giant beetle.

- Don't move, Tack (said Hadesh). Use languages on it.

They tried to talk, but all they could understand it saying was "No-no", and they saw it was not much more than an animal from that place.

It soon gave space to the group walk, seeing they're not here to attack 'em.

All the group passed the day investigating the area. They found holes on the ground, as they were created a long time ago and probably by ant giants.
If the beetles doesn't helped, at least they didn't disturbed the wanderers, but that was clear no one come to this place usually.

So, Tack tried to conjure a faery fire to help and it broke in a large "Bang!".

A medium size Nightmare appeared.

It happened this one in special had the ability to assume people's fears, like a licanthropi, and it immediately assum the form of a dark spectre.
This way, Flausin shrinks at a corner, but the creature did nothing.

Hadesh advance, while Lena run to help the goblin.

So, it assumes the form of a meltling, and they don't know if it aquires the ability from the monster. If the answer is yes, it would melt all their weapons and armours in seconds.

Tack, whose weapons are not made of metal, advance and attack it.

"UuWwwoo-uuoo-aa... aohuwwwhhhhh", it whispers fear, but it seems only the djine is affected. He hides on the back of a big stone.

- Attack when a head appears! (shouted Bake).

And it assumed the form of Tack's wife, but in the form of a zombie.

He stoped, understanding his fear for the first time, and Lena the rogue princess come to his assitance, at this moment and so stoped almost in fear.

The nightmare assumed the form of the Mummi King, with a dark crown, and Lena understood he was happy 'cause he won the war.

Tack got out of the trance and attacked with his whip in a movement Hadesh had tought him.

He got the creature's head off with a strong pull back.

- It's dead. (said the princess, most to herself than to the group).
- Savage Magic land (said Rude). We need to take care, while doing magic in here. Good move, Tack. What you think, Bake?
- This is not the only savage magic area.
- Probably. Professor?
- Let's get somewhere, first. I can't see where the portal could be in here.
- We need to find it (resumed Lena).

They got to rest a few moments, before keep looking for hints, and now they know.

Magic can make it the wrong way here.

Two hours later, while investigating the area of rocks on the other side of that valley, Lena had an intense feeling that they're being observed. She talks to Tack the specialist in negation, attentive to keep her voice low, but he could not identify any focus of magic observation.
She swear to him she's right, but that's no help try and see to negate in the void of whatever'd be watching, if there's anything.

Well, the rogue princess always had a second sense for that, and two minutes later Daytel called the attention of everyone to say in serious low tone, he had "Sense of danger" something, but then from the sand on the ground a gigantic scorpion steped on the way and attacked Hadesh.
He's the best combatant, though.

Tack tried a paralyze, but that cracked out away doing no damage. Fortunately, it didn't hit anyone. And so, the elementalist Torian started to concentrate earth smash, planning to change place from body to stone, while Hadesh assumed his beast form.

There emerged a total of five enormous scorpions, and the takkar defended Tack from the forceps attack from the one who emerged from the right rocks.

Lena the rogue princess lifted her and the djine Báech upwards.

Daytel attacked the one on the frontside, and smashed it's left arm with a rock. Hadesh, back there, was handling two at once.

- This must be their nest. We came the wrong way. (shouted Rude). Princess, you cry the strategy from there up to us in here.

And Lena started to shout positions, while the djine asked her to throw him up the number three, turned back to attack the sting.
Did that, she cried to Spike their positions, and he advanced with an icebaal prepared, to confront the third and fourth forcing 'em to the rocks.

- Daytel, (he shouted), force that one on the wall and I will.....

He sank into the sand.

- Spike! (screamed Rude).

Spike's icebaal escaped and freezed everything with snowish christals, at the time Tack could force his magic knife he doesn't know yet what is it's power into one of the monsters.

- Perfect! They won't be on their best now. (shouted the alchemist).
- I petrified this one! But I can't take the knife off! (cried Tack, while Hadesh pushed the second one with a double attack of claws, and a defense move back).

Tack slipped away to a corner that's cracked.

- I've found the nest! (he shouted, and Hadesh advanced making a friend grab move, so now Tack's on his back to be the essencial target for the monsters).

Báech cutted the scorpion's sting off, while Rude was fighting the hard two forceps.

They all turned to attack Hadesh and Tack on his back. "It worked, Christalla! Organize our flank attack, now, and they're gone!", shouted Rude. He advanced through the back way to where Spike desapeared on the sand, and screamed "Spiiike!".

- I'm ok! Stay alive! (Spike shouted from a deep hole).

The elemetalist smashed a second one, with a rocky centered storm of bolts, and Tack took his whip from the hip to get the fifth one's left pincer. So, he pulled it with all his will, for he's not strong. Only enough to make it open space for Hadesh to attack it and cut it's other forcep pincer off.

- Only two now! (shouted the djine, with his scimitar inside the third one which was squeezing in pain).

And so, Hadesh gave triple attack on the one without a left pincer Daytel had first attacked. Two claws opened the head and the tail smashed it with a clockwise spin.

- Wohww! (shouted Tack, holding on).

The goblin, looking everything from up together with the rogue princess, used telekinese to hold the last one, and they all attacked it at the same time.
Rude thrown his sword to Daytel, who together with the djine and Bake they stuck the monster from down until a dark liquid fell, fetid.

They did it.

Torian freezed the nest, with all his power.

They all looked each other, and it was Torian the elementalist who went running now to Rude, to look for Spike that fell into that hole.

- Spiike! (he screamed).
- Are you aliive? (shouted Rude).

They gathered beside that hole, still sweting, and Hadesh put Tack to the ground to get back to takkar form, so they listened to Spike's voice.

- I've found it!

(End of Session)

Some considerations necessary

Some are the choice who form a Destiny to self, some to the many. A portal's opened? Who's the ones whose nature's being taken? A fish can't see the sea he lives in, the same way one only vision of a world cannot show everything.

Hold on, and the imersion world will get itself revealed a step at a time.

Thanks for reading.

A Garota - Oriental Kastas

     Oriental Kastas, continente leste

     -- Meu nome é Llanyat -- respondeu a garotinha.

A mãe não entendeu, mas inclinou sua cabeça junto da mão e dos braços, para olhar para sua filha.

-- O que você está dizendo, Atamya?
-- Esse não é o meu nome (ela resumiu).
-- Volte a dormir. Amanhã você vai ter esquecido esse sonho e tudo vai ter voltado ao normal, larkíyba. Não seja boba, dê tempo ao tempo.

Assim, sua mãe voltou a dormir.

     Some considerations necessary

What happens when you have all that you are forgotten? Not your memory, but will you get back your Epic Destiny from the hands of the Unknown?

     Thanks for reading.

The Astral (One)

Helo, everyone.

And welcome to the Wormbar, again.

This is the second part of a two days adventure, this one runned on April 24, 2010, at our friend Sheep's Lair, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. This is where we live. It's a nice place, really. You should come to visit during your vacation. Our city has the biggest number of "bars" in Brazil. We're not adepts of "samba", as you probably know samba from Rio, or Salvador. We're House to Metal, but you'll also see Jazz festivals on summer and winter, at many places, like in my neighborhood, Savassi.

Be welcome.

Resume of this Day of Play

Hadesh got up in a sudden, breathing fast.

- Take care, Hadesh (said the little girl). You need to rest.

He looked around. He's at Tack's house, at Ryklanta.

- Listen to Delanda, takkar. You falled from the sky, yesterday, but we cured mostly all your damage done. Tack's at Torian's, now.
- Yesterday? I need to talk to Ayasta.
- I'm listening to you, Hadesh (he listened to the godesse's voice).

The girl pressed her lips, apparently listening too.

- I need you ask Spike if he can fix my armour, please. It must be done today, or I'll lose her.
- Wait until I talk to him, and I'll talk to you.

Moments later, Spike was teleported to Tack's house. He analyzed the armour to see if it could be done, but he's a specailist in armours, being a Warknight.

- It can be done, but I'll need Telluron to fix it in a week. The other way it could take a year.
- Do it, please. I'll find a way to pay you later.

He gets needles and pinched all Hadeshe's body with 'em to take off the armour. Then, Tack sent an order to take telluron from the vault.

(At Torian's Castle)

Ayasta and Tack decided to go to Principia.

They teleported to the entrance of the city, a large city with giant elephalets, siphliesces and beetles. Houses are strongly beautiful, everywhere.
Enornous towers like made of ivory talls the most important and official buildings.

So great is the land of djines.

There's a magnificent palace in the center of the large city.

It's possible to see that the djines navigate to the east Azhar empire, somehow, 'cause turbans are common place there, too.
Sellers and buyers approach commerce, everywhere.

They even see flower wine from Tachiza among the items to cast a buyer in that streets.

So, they got to the central palace.

It happens they are being expected, and a guard with bronze skin took 'em to the Regent's presence. He was waiting for them, sitting at a throne.

They bowed, when got to the presence of the Regent. He bowed too, looking to Ayasta, impressed that she did it while she's a Godess.
But was Tack who spoke.

- Greetings. We're here to talk about important issues. I'm Tack Primus.
- Salasta, I welcome you. I hope we can arrange a talking. I'm Neten, the Regent. I know who you are, both, and I knew you'd come.
- Well, but you know why we're here?
- My people are well informed of things into the whole trigemei, yes.
- So, are the djines prepared to deal with this? I mean, now we don't know where Tweet has gone to, I saw on the city that you're a strong nation. No doubt. But we know some djines had lost their taboos, so we came to ask what's happening.
- What happens is that the taboos were created so long ago that we can't fix it, but I assume we can keep the situation under control.
- So,... (Tack made a pause) you know there's a war.
- We doesn't care far wars, mage. Godess. Our people doesn't take sides.
- That was what we came here to ask. Thanks for saying. Now, nature will need time to find it's balance, and we need to take care not to create magic fauls. I think you understand. But well, the balance of divine energy's being broken.
- We don't talk about divine, mage.
- Right. The heir to the throne,...
- She's too young to take care of her people now, and that's my work as a Regent.
- I see. Her's are the decisions which will modelate the future.
- I know. (he exhaled a sigh). I know.

The regent nodded, and Ayasta gave a step forward. She explained that the new djines eat derivatives from the universal components, Fungus, Echtoconduit and Telluron. Pure, they can also be eaten. But she's right that soon the balance needed for components will have be solved.

- I thank you far your concern. My people will remember this, and the future Raja is secure in here.
- Well, that conforts us, regent Neten. Now, we must go. Thank you. (said Tack).

They bowed, and were walking the way out when they saw a little girl. She was dressed as a real princess, a girl without limits.
She looked the other side of the hall, and took an apple from a pile from the distance. It looks as she does have djine powers, even so young.

Everyone listened to a voice, and Tack (together with Ayasta) knew it came from the woman meditating, and levitating at the side of regent Neten.

- Everything you do has consequences.

And the pile of apples all fell, as the girl had took one from the base and not from the top.

That lesson, Tack would never forget.

(At the Troll Phylosopher)

All the group, including Lena Báech (Christalla), Tack and Ayasta, Torian, Flausin, Báech the djine, Spike and Rudyn gathered at the Troll's territory.

Tack explained the visit to the djine capital, Principia.

Hadesh was all pointed with needles, and Spike explains he can't use his armous until it's 80% reformed, so they need to wait.

They all decide to go after the portals. That's what everything they gathered during all this takes to. The "what to do with the portal" is secondary.

So, Tack explains the profecy says who gather the major number of portals win the war, and after they'll need then to decide new rules for reincarnation.

Then, the Troll goes inside his cave, and no one knows what he's doing inside.

The question is, Adria.

Hadesh has 60%, more or less, of Ambar's knowledge of Time inside his mind, and he's getting mad with that, because he can't understand it. The group has asked the Troll to create a ritual, respecting the nature and the new rules of magic, so to pass this knowledge to Adria, and then time could go back to normal, a solution to one amongst many problems.

Hadesh entered the cave, fourty minutes later.

Some time after that, he and the Troll came back to the bonfire outside. The Troll was happy. He could pass 50% of Ambar's knowledge of time to Adria. This would need some time more to be studied by the godess, and so soon enough time would go back to normal, and the christal will be safe.

Christalla coments with the Troll that she thinks the name christal for the worlds is strange. He explains it comes from astronomy observation.

Then the group decides go to the first coordinate.

(Four days later)

Bakemono, a friend and member of Rude's group, came back from the Nine Realms to go with the group, now decided and preparing to enter the Astral plane. He was gathering neverfading water plants, that are used to cast "Light" at the Astral.

The portal Rudyn opened was small, to let no track.

(At the Astral)

They walked two days, and Rude explained this would be three hours on the standard plane. Báech was so hungry Hadesh gave him a jar of Fungus. It'd feast him for the travel. Hadesh still have four bottles of fungus inside his Bag. He can't explain how they grow inside, and Ayasta advised him to keep that. The godess was all the time talking with the mad goblin.

She seems to understand everything he says, madly.

Soon, a herd of namoradas passed, and they found themselves up the trees. It was a psychotropode coming, and Rude knew it was terrible.

- It's a gas. Don't breathe it, or it blows you mind off to hallucinations. (said Rude).

It came from the west, destroying everything.

Torian attacks with a windblow so strong he thought it would fade away, but the creature, a white cloud, have passed unharmed.
So, Tack experimented a new magic, something like Cure but together with Poison.

Rude slowed the psychotropode with void, as a master he is.

The creature levitates high and got down so quick it would have taken Flausin, but the mad goblin was not there at the same time.
He simply vanished without a pop.

- Everyone. Now! (shouted Torian).

It worked. With all their attacks together, they killed the cloud. But then it dissipated, and Báech, the same way Torian, forgot the gas hallucination and breathed it. Well, they started to enter a strange trance. Rude shouted to Lena to enter their minds, and bring they back, or they'd never do it.

- Vir! - called Rude, and various items got out of that cloud that was the creature.

So it exploded, sending gas venom in every direction.

It's the moment Neshet came to life, and Loriet the slave, too. During a moment, Neshet was thinking of one day have been a mage, but so he woke up. I was a dream. He slept standing. On the other world of Gobouka, a world with seven moons, Loriet almost let a vase fall, so tired he was, working so hard for his master Died the Artificer, a much infamous artist from Gobouka's east territory.

They woke in a sudden, in doubt which was true. This or that.

- Don't talk about that, you two. I know. The gas venom creates an alternated life. You'll only be safe when we get away from here. Hey, everyone! Let's walk. And no one talks, for the sake of our friends.

It was the most terrible effect Torian ever sensed in his lifetime, and he took mostly an hour to keep his mind back to his normal self.

Rude handed the items from the creature.

Two rings which protect from poison, to Rude and the bakemono hunter. A singer gladius to Ayasta. Two daggers that cut everything to Lena and Tack. A sword which drain the oponent's life to the owner to Hadesh, were obviously items owned by last travellers killed by the creature.

All material, and Rude explained they'd still exist when they get back off the Astral plane.

Then, Lena pointed a tower on a mountain to 'em.

- That's the passage (said Rude). We need to ge there today. Let's walk.

Getting there, they entered without difficulty. Christalla the rogue was on the front. But the djine sensed an enormous source of telluron, and casted a wish to get it.
There was a gigantic cry from a beast, and Torian sensed intense danger.

(End of Session)

Some considerations necessary

Will the young heir girl to Principia be really ready to shape the world's future, according to the Prophecies? Will the group have find solutions enough to fight the enemy? Is it time to take a distance from our heores, and look to what's happening at other places?

So, let's start a small ride over the Trigemei worlds.

That Which Secrets

Helo, everyone.

This time the story runned on April 23, 2010. I have left some time in advance to the posts to know better what the true story is, and then decide how to write the posts, on purpose. But I'll have some news on it. It's much more a resume this one.

(Previously)

Hadesh is in orbit.

Resume of this Day of Play

The world of Toj is under a complex state of warfare. The enemy without a face starts to get called The Unbornd, as a few people starts to know he's on the run to change the past. No one knows his exact goals. No one knows what is to be done.
What the Beings of Light say, is there are people who are destined to deal with this.

Since Time had suffered a crash no one is certain of anything.

On the east, people sent messages to Ayanima and Shadeza, saying daemons suddenly desapeared, asking if there's someone responsible for that.
That's known daemons have a crush on fighting the empire of Azhar. But they're gone. Maybe the sudden death of their old daemongod Trisebus had turned 'em in other direction, or something worst then daemons is crawling the trigemei worlds.

- No, Torian (keep on Tack). The question is the world is overfragmented. There's no political unity. I guess it's something non planned, but we can't be sure of it. So, what's needed is someone to blame. This one must be a monster, a terrible enemy.
- We were attacked by dark sidhas, and basilisces. That's my family in it. Someone did stole drems, but we can't really be sure who did it. So, I need to resume everything to start contact my allegiances, and this monster you're saying doesn't fit. Why create something? There are problems, already.
- But no sense of union. See?
- I don't know.
- Explain this idea of you, Tack (they listen to the voice of Ayasta).
- The enemy can't be the enemy Unbornd. That's it.
- Why? (asked Torian).
- Because that's what he seems to want to happen, besides a crash between the mummi and the monotheists, but I don't know why.
- That make sense, but what?
- Well, Torian. Not even the daemons of the east are making public appearances. Or we create the monster, or someone will do it. If it is the enemy, he will have it under control.
- Right of you, but I'm sure it's no good.
- I understand what you're saying, Tack (they listen to Ayasta). I may even agree, but we have other things we must deal until the alignment.
- Right. So, we agree this could be done to take this advantage from the enemy.
- Yes, a fake enemy under control could be good (said Ayasta).
- I don't know (murmured Torian).

This talk doesn't end in here, but there are other things of much importance to show you.

(On the Orbit of Toj)

Time was passing, and Hadesh couldn't move a minimum measure. He sees something on a crater on the moon, with wings, as black as everything at this place.

His attention was attracted to the moon of Treiyka.

An enormous flying thing was moving from there to where he is, wherever it is. It's getting closer. He starts to think it's a dragon.
Yes, an imense white dragon's getting there.

He stops middle distance.

- What are you doing off the planet? (asked the dragon).
- If you help me to understand I can tell you (replied Hadesh, but he knew this dragon's old and not someone to mess with).
- What's your name?
- Hadesh.
- You can call me Tayra, the White Wyrm. Now you're here, I'll have things to say to you. There are laws to whom get out of the worlds.
- If you tell me I can say I understand.
- Easy, takkar. Easy. This is not something I can do alone. You need a passport. This is only the first time, and things are much less fast than you think. I'll take you back by teleport. Where do you want to go?
- I'll get there by myself (said the takkar, proudly).

The draka analyzed his armour, for a moment.

- You may survive. I offered my help, but if you want this way, try. I advise you I won't help in this way, and you're on your own.
- I can't move, or start moving.

The white wyrm moved him in the distance, aparently with his mind.

- Thank you, Tayra. We'll see each other again.
- We'll see. Survive the atmospheric reentry first, and I'll maybe find you later.

(Back to Torian's Castle)

- I'll lose my physical form, Tack. That's it what I mean.
- Why, Ayasta? (questioned Torian). Is this really necessary to you?
- If I die in this form, magic will be dead again. I'll assume the form of Ayanima Ayya, my grandmother, but in the form of a child. I'll have an aura visible to magic practitioners, and wings only visible to whom has Arcana, and I've decided my symbol. It'll be a dimond, at my forehead.
- I think it's really necessary, Torian.
- Now that she explained this I totally agree, Tack. When will it be?
- Members of all sidha races are gathering at my grandmother's place of birth, her Sacred Tree, to wait for me at this very moment.
- Can we do something to help?
- Thank you, Torian. The hyenas near the goblin village you know at the barbarian territory are waiting, 'cause I planned to make my sanctuary there.
- So, we'll wait for you there.
- Now I have a white dragon to talk to. So, we'll see each other soon.

This last part they didn't understood right away, but magic will be safer this way. Tack starts to see his dreams are somehow connected.
Maybe, that is the future where the enemy comes from.

(The Reentry)

Falling, falling, falling, faster, faster, and much faster each time, Hadesh sees he could never survive the fall when he gets to the ground.

So, he activates a beast power and concentrates.

He will fall at Rykland.

The air freezed and became ice around him, and he became an gigantic iceball. Tack saw that in a moment, as some kind of vision, and imediately teleported home. This last time he went to the Academy, the Headmaster had given him a ring of teleport. It can make eight teleports a day. He would negate that with all his might, and kill whoever tried to destroy his city and family.

Hadesh put his hand inside the Bag, and listened.

- Say ho.
- Ho (he cried, desperately).

And the imense iceball disapeared in middle air, upside Rykland's bright sky.

It starts to snow, moments later.

Hadesh know where he is, now. It's the plane of negative energy, and he immediately cried "Ho!", and was teleported to the plane of positive energy.
That, and the reentry basically destroyed his armour.

Tack looked to his family, at the back of his house, and his daughter handed him the Sword in the Sheath, but he simply said.

- This is not necessary, now.

Hadesh shouted with all his forces "Take to the physical plane. Out of here! Hoe!", and appeared on the backyard of Tack's house.

So, he said "Cure" and fainted.

Tack's daughter took the Sword, sad, and put it to the ground, which swallowed the Sword. This was the last time the Sword in the Sheath was seen.

- Are you all right? (Tack questioned his family).

Everyone safe, he explained he has duty again and will be back as soon as possible.

Then, the Primus family started to take care of Hadesh.

(Meanwhile)

Ayasta went to the Sidha Empire, on the east of the Gulf of Nine Realms. She appeared at the same Sacred Tree her grandmother Ayanima Ayya was born.

There, all representatives of all sidha races revered her with in a bow,...

...and she lost physical form.

(The Hyena's Sanctuary)

Tack, Torian, Christalla, Báech and Flausin were teleported.

They see a circle, and an imense number of hyenas around, all waiting paciently. So, they see an orange light and at the center of that area, a small figure appeared.

It's Ayasta, the Godess of Magic.

She casts her hands with a bless to the hyenas, and go to ask the group where to go.

(Back to Torian's Castle)

Christalla, Báech and Flausin went to the dining room as soon as they got there, maybe for the food they're eating at the Tavern construction's no good.

- This monster must be created, Ayasta.
- I understand your opinion, Tack, but we can't be sure it will serve it's purpose. I personally think it's a good idea, to let you know.
- This time I'm the only one who thinks it's dangerous.
- No, Torian. I think this too, but Tack's right. This can unite the world, under control. But Tack, I need to remember you something. The new djines. They doesn't have taboos. The three taboos are: Life, Death and Intelligence. Yes, the greater rings.
- The djine powers are divine (said Tack). They steal a divine spark to make their wishes later, and then give a thing immediately to the person, but they rarely create something. They do. - Two days (resumed Ayasta), according to Adria.
