Today News -- One

    Helo, and Be welcome.

I've worked together with Heitor in a very good storyline, in the way to adapt the stories played into novels, and in special the big picture of the Stolen Dreams adventure. It's not the end. It is indeed the beginning of a long work into adapting the stories.

At the Action Tales blug, though, I've just seen some part of the archieves are missing, but no problem. I'll adapt and improvise.

This week, my friend Luciana Lima and I were talking about Akkia, to make it better and easier. It's a tough language, but it doesn't mean it's no good. The Dictionary's ready. So, with this first step on hands, we're going to review how it works, properly.

I'm working with two ideas to form the Akkia grammar.

First, the Operator Grammar idea of "Operator", which is the word or expression you can't take off a sentence, with the penalty of generating an ungrammatical sentence. And so, with the Cambridge idea of Grammar in Use, which doesn't expose technical vocabulary to the student, being focused more on "how to use", and as Akkia uses Cases, this is really handy.

I thank my fellow conlangers for some words, as for example, today I was reading the board and came to the dutch word "taalknobbel", which means someone with "a feel for languages", and then today I coined the word "suomoesuus" (later, "suommýtsuus") for this. It reaminds me of "suomi" and "suomen suu", which is "finnish mouth", what makes me like even more this new expression.

Also, I've started reading the Game of Thrones novel, still on book one, and it is indeed good. I've noticed how the more I rest, the more I produce.

Note (2016): I've step aside from Game of Thrones at that time, for storyline reasons.

During the last two weeks, I've decided that the translation work must focus on British English, and so an American version will have to wait. Talking with a book seller, here at Belo Horizonte, he says today this is not the only option, and there are several writers opting for a more neutral and international version of the language, what stands now as the main option; but jargon must still be closer to British.

In a very occasional meeting with Tomaz Sá, I've given him his version of our Calendar. It has the dates for every event during the year on Earth, sosltices and equinoxes, with the animals listed, and everything with the already correct arithmancy numbers in it. It shows also the Pentagram, with all we need to know about Magic, including magic directions for rituals, and wiccan reverence. All that based on real magic, to which were used more than twenty real books, including Liber Kaos, and various real grimoires.

Following discussions and polls on our Facebook group, Action Tale, and also Akkia and official Sol Cajueiro's languages, the list of magic animals is complete; including "Hlix" the spider,...

I'm done with doing revision of chapters 1 to 7, book 1, and working on the next part, 8 to 11, but all that is my own "grouping", and not actually any sort of division inside book. But well, my first readers, Alex and Priscila are still reading the starting chapters, but they say it's amazing. I'll meet my revisor next week to see the revised chapters one and two,... Yeah! And have the final form to the text next.

I've also translated the first paragraph of my book to Akkia, but that you'll need to go our Akkia group on Facebook if you want to read it.

Having a couple of days now to dedicate to the Ameaça das Sombras adventure writing, but a I've said, some parts are missing, and I'll have to remake text. But well, this is a young reader's story, and it must be in Portuguese, to make easier for brazilian audience to read. My players asked it to be in Portuguese. But soon, I'll have news on the story which is being written in English, as I've grouped everything in the label "introduction" to make it easier to think about the next steps ahead, and play.

Back to the Wormbar, I want to have the Trilogy ready before we start to play a new campaign. This must make it easier, as words like "elf" are being taken off the final version, and a huge number of new informations are going to be added to a very easy-to-read version.

I'll have to thank my players again.

In special Nahas, who's always taking notes, and that helps me a lot when it comes down to writing, but everyone is important same way.

So, these are the news for today, here at the blug.

I hope you're enjoying the reading, so come back whenever you want, and,...
             ..,. Stay Plugged.
