Infernalist Triggers - #00

    Helo, and Be welcome.

This is my Adventure Blog, where I show the Stories of Epic Destiny, and you're reading the first in a series of many, the Adventure #00 Action Tale - The Akkoya's Mythology. The Legends are also known as The Lost Tales of Ayya, and this is the continuing campaign that gives birth the Legends. The title of this adventure is The Stolen Dreams, but this was just the begining. I want to thank my friends who play the Story, and everyone who's enjoying the reading and come back to see what's new.

    Briefing

Welcome to the trigemei worlds of Toj, Kalacoktoa and Treiyka. This is homeworld to the ejik race, together with their astral sister races, takkar, boglings, oggres, draka, fae or sidha, stone elves, bronze faeries, shadow people, the legends, Gods, extradimensionals, djines, the icchi planars, and many others.
The story is centered in Toj, where ejik is the major race.

In the year 602, April, a special group was chosen by the Dreammaker, the lord of the dream planes, to investigate who's stealing dreams from the future world leaders, why, and to a number of recovery missions, in which the group manage to save the princess Lena's brother's future, Anduène, but the Nine Realms were still in danger. There was a secret society in control of their land.
This way, Anduène's able to find exile in Treiyka, to handle with that.
Princess Lena, also a rogue, secrectly, was never to left the world unless her brother gives her permission, because the succession to the Báech Kingdom is magical.

During the year, they recover a number of Urns, but some are still missing.

So, a new God kills the godess Ambar, then killing Time and Magic, and during this day, which didn't existed, 18th of December, 602 AGC (after the great change), only those in possession of powerful items of power could move and take action, but it soon proved Nature's the most wise amongst the Ancients.

The Godess of Nature was infiltrated into the sister group, and came to two girls who were becoming godesses at that moment.
She said to abdicate from choice to save the three worlds, and then Nature gave attribution to the two new godesses, and they became Time and Magic. Time did abdicates from choice, so they let the power to chose to Magic, who lost her body mortal form to exist as an Avatar child, with the same appearance as her grandmother the stone sidha princess queen Ayya.

Hyenas look like her animal companion, and Ayasta, the new godess of Magic, also has a symbol on the forehead, which is a diamond, her magic collour is orange.

At this time, and so, the group became one of the most powerful group which has ever existed in the world of Toj.

Tack, who was mastering some important issues into new magic, was also the founder of a secret society, which name is still unknown, and he helped Ayasta to restore Magic and he made the first books into the new way Magic would be learned.
This magic, as Ayasta was a monk, same as princess queen Ayya, would need sports and meditation, what for a moment almost draw the mages from the Academy of Magic, Politics and Power off the way, but they understood Ayasta's intentions.

Magic must depends on will, focus and body control, or in other words, much training, and after that, every wizard, mage and sorcerer would do Magic without praying to any divine source no more.

Then, Tack gets access to the Forbidden Library, at the Academy of Ryklanta, and discovers predictions about the very Event.

The Event duration is two years, until the set free of the Antigods. The book tells ritual experimentalism with death, life, and new forms of reincarnation, ressurrection, and the curse of the mummy, with examples to everything. It tells to "get together the major number of Portals, and decide the new rules of reincarnation", dated with the exactly today present day.
He could also see, dated five hundred and twenty one years ago, a set of planar coordinates, with supposed positions to eight locations, marked "Portal", and used a magic trick to remember those numbers with exactitude as he wishes.

This is how the group came to the Astral plane to find the Portals.

I hope you're enjoying the reading, and,...
    ... Stay Plugged.

    (On the last Session)

Now, they waited for the abyssal, and Torian energyzed the dumpper with all energy he could without fainting, as a start, so it would use the abyssal's energy for the rest of the millennia to come.

It got locked into the trap, and they teleported with the faery's help.

The faery, looking for an abyssal locked in a paradigma there, in a timeless prison on the southwest side of the Bronze Labyrinth (they don't know how it happened, but the princess looked to Ayasta, thankful), and graces the group for saving her race, for the Mage of Bronze to have really came to save the Bronze Faeries, and the group prepared to go away.

    - It's with you, right?
    - Yeah, Torian. I've got the Portal with a wish.

They came to the surface, again, and the djine had the Portal, for their relief.

A small christaline sphere, with something like Fog inside.

    (End of Session)

    The Astral's a beautiful place.

Once you get used to the collours, as everything shows it's aura, and flux of energy comes and goes, you notice the other two worlds, Kalacoktoa and Treiyka are repeatedly five to eight times in the sky. The two moons, too. And this is amazing, together with the fog that's everywhere.
If these were days of peace, the group would pay more attention to it.

They travelled during a week or so, 'cause sensation of time doesn't matters much in here, to find traces of a probably medium size city in a day of travel distance.

    Soon, they find a road.

    - Where's Hadesh?
    - Huh,... dunno, p´fessor (answered the djine).
    - Don't worry, Tack. - said Ayasta.

It's of much importance to notice a creature's always a creature, be it good or the most vilest. And this way, the takkar beast Hadesh was following a trace, back there. He watches for long moments, hiding in the rocks, that are perfect for his camouflage.

Then, he simply jumps over a bush.

    - Nooo! Reliese meeeah! Let me go! Let me go!
    - Who are you? - said him, holding the small man with his strong hands.
    - I just followed you, from the Labyrinth. That was my house, but I was never able to leave. Let me go! Please. I'm just trying to help you. And to thank you.
    - Key. (he released the small man). I feel truth in your voice. Who are you?
    - Look at me - and Hadesh did.
    - You're a daemon.
    - Yeah. You freed me from the curse. I was forever locked at that labyrinth, and now I can see the world with my own eyes, but I don't know where to go, then I followed you.
    - How comes I sense truth in a daemon's voice?
    - I'm not a liar.
    - You'll help me into the city, and I'll let you go if you wish.
    - You trust me?
    - Why not? I'm a beast.
    - Huh,... what do you need me to do?
    - Nothing. Just stay with me, and stay out of trouble. I don't like the Astral. It makes me sick. I'll buy some suff, and you carry them for me. Deal?
    - Is it really that simple?
    - Come with me.

Hadesh walked some time, never coming near the group, then he stoped.

    - Ok. Let's do it. What's your name, boy?
    - I don't know. Well, I didn't need a name at the labyrinth.
    - I'll call you Tatooi, then.
    - I like it. What does it means?
    - Doesn't care. Look at the group? What can you say?
    - Huh,... (he stared at the group, now at the doors of an astral city),... don't know. I feel nothing coming from the girl with the hood, but I sense danger from the Bronze M-,...
    - Stop! Don't say that again. Never. Don't say this name again, right?
    - Huh,... right.
    - Let's get into the city, and stay away from the group.
    - Right.

The road was full of people. Well, not exactly people. Monsters, daemons, deatheaters, spectres, probably dark mages with those cloacks, madnactors, mindbreakers, all those we call enemies all the time, together with a number of black birds on the sidewalks.

Hadesh and Tatooi entered the city of Pokudaemon mixed with them.

It took an hour or so to the group chose a tavern to stay, and then Hadesh entered and ordered a room, side by side with the group.

The boniface asked for it now, two silver pieces each person, and daemons count as two.

It was on the upper corridor that Hadesh could speak with Torian.

    - I'll be watching. Say Tack we need books. It's the only place we'll find them.
    - Right. Take care - responded Daytel.

Four hours later, Hadesh entered a very dark place, and even Tatooi was feeling uncomfortable. A dark place, with a dim light, and a torch on the westside. He asked for a book. The mindbreaker shown him the common books, and after some negociation, he showed the good books.

It says Infernalist Triggers, on the cover.

Then, the man explains it's the basic intruction to infernalist Revelations, but the price is high, about twenty telluron pieces. Hadesh says he'll come back, and went to the tavern. There, he called his Bag and counted the money, only enough to buy the book.
Tack was passing, and he gently made a move with the head, showing the darklight streets.

An hour later, Hadesh payed for the book, and Tack noticed where was the right place, so he got back and called the others to go there.

Night was coming, and it was going to be a bad idea to stay, so Karistalla manned to passa a message to the takkar on the tavern corridor.

"We can't stay. We've been followed. We leave town in one hour", it was written.

Two hours later, they were at the road off Pokudaemon city. They saw Hadesh back there, about five minutes following them, and so they left the road. Some time passed, and he got together with them followed by his new colleague, a daemon.

    - He's a daemon - immediately said Tack.
    - He's with me - was the answer from Hadesh.
    - He's your reponsability. You know.
    - Hey, you two! (called Daytel). We need to get to those rocks, before night.
    - I see, Daytel. Let's go - Hadesh was mostly factual.

Tack, Lena and Flausin were apprehensive with the presence of a daemon with them. He noticed. During the way, he came to Hadesh.

    - What's the problem with me?
    - I don't see any problem, Tatooi, but this is because I'm a beast. They don't understand. I see good in you, even if you're a daemon.
    - I prefere believe in you, than believe in them.
    - Good.

Plaepoku is an Astral region full of great rocks and mountains, some red and some dark grey. The night is a time to watch, the same time the night watches. They took turns, as always. Double. Two person watch, to grant them a safe night after all.
By the morning, Lena started to read her new book.

Hadesh woke up and looked everyone, as Tack made caoffee with no fire, food was good (at least something good that dangerous city would have, huh - thought happily the djine Báech). Soon, Flausin and Báech were taking the turn to watch, even during the day.

This way, safe, Hadesh opened the new book.

"First of all, I welcome you that reads this to notice I'll be looking for you soon. This is how it all works, and you'll notice how it works, now.
The world is evil, and also the heores are evil, together.
We are the only source of real power, the power that will, the power that controls everything. The book, as we already know you're reading, yes, yes, you're not a mage,... This changes a bit the reading, but it didn't changes the event of you reading", was written.

Hadesh stoped, "How it can knows I'm not a mage?", he thought.

"The world's ruled by means no mortal can understand, but yes, we know you're not a mage because when you start to look for us, we started to look for you".

Hadesh stoped, again, "What an absurd! (he thoughts)", but keeps up the reading.

"This is no absurd.", it was written.

    - Hoh, shit! - the djine looked to Hadesh, and he to the surroundings. Then, back to the reading, again.

"The powers conjured to the Infernalist Triggers grant us the power over the world. We are never the people in control, well, not obviously.
This would call much attention to us, so we prefere to be a totally normal and common person.
A common person doesn't dry the attention, and so we can rule forever".

Hadesh stoped, thinking "Shit! They could be anyone, this way".

"Yes, we could be anyone, this way. And we're going to see you, as soon as possible", and he closed the infernalist book immediately.

He didn't know what to do, and started to enter despair.

Opened again, only to know it already knew he would close and open, his toughts, emotions, and it did mention clearly the infernalists are coming for him. The despair started to wake Ayasta's attention, but she was only meditating on a rock, very calm.

Then, opening again, and closing it again made Hadesh enter total despair.

    Infernalists, he knows now.

They are the people in control, of everything. Vilains? Never. They're too smart to get into any trouble, and as a common person, they're in control forever. That's the real truth, he desired never know. But the book also knew he would desire to not know. He watched a flight of black birds, on the south, and they were the most sinister birds Hadesh ever seen, because he knew now, they're spies, spies to the Infernalists.
No one will ever fall from their hands, they control everthing.

Then, Hadesh got up and started to walk in circles, murmuring, lost.

    - Hey, lizardee,... I'm sensing a strong desire - said Báech.
    - It's over. They know.
    - What are you talking about, lizardee?
    - No, Báech. It's the end. We need to get off here, right now. But,... it doesn't matters. They'll find us, and it's forever lost.
    - What are you talking about, Hadesh?
    - Torian. They know. They know everything. I'm telling. I'm telling you. They know everything. How can Lena be sleeping, after reading this book? They'll get her too! I don't know what to do.
    - Hey! Calm down.
    - No, Torian. Ayasta knows what I'm talking about. Don't you? - and he looked the godess, as to look for any help, any relief.
    - He's right, Torian. He just understood how the world works, and why the Gods are needed.
    - Shit! - said the takkar in response.
    - Stay calm, Hadesh. Ayasta didn't mean to say this.
    - I did - said the Godess.
    - That birds, Torian. That birds. They're spies! I know it, now.
    - What are you talking about, lizardee?
    - No, Báech. No. I know! There's only one way. That's the only thing I can do, to protect us all from them.
    - From them who, Hadesh? - asked Torian.
    - Midoroshi - asked Hadesh.

Immediately, the witch of the planes, Haratchi, appeared, dressed in black.

    - I have nothing to do with this, Haratchi. Don't know why he's called you, right now. He's confused. But, well, Hadesh, now you called her. It's out of my business, now.

The takkar looked her, in despair.

She looked back, with eyes that seem to look throught the starts.

    - You know what I want. Do it. I'll pay the price.
    - What you're trying to ask me to do is the most difficult thing in the world, takkar.
    - Do it.
    - I'd do it, if the Gods wouldn't interfere, but I know they will.
    - Do it.
    - Well, (she passed her right hand on her head, very softlly), if you assume the danger, it will be done.
    - You don't understand. I'm in complete despair. I need it. I need to be imune to them, not possibly affected by their vilest wishes. That's all a plan! And you know it.
    - Yes. I know it. I have do deal with this every day, in my life. It's terrible, I agree with you.
    - Do it.
    - It's done.

Immediately, five portals opened, two in the air.

Then, from the first portal came Drahmai, the little girl of no race known, and she stoped looking. A vultus in total darkness came from the second one. A knight in a dread horse from the third. In the air, a small ball of light, appeared from portal four. And up, some fifty normeasures high, came a great ball of metal, about twenty normeasures in diameter.

Then, the shadow vultus became the Avatar of Death, usually called Essence of Death, an immaterial person in a hook, and she imediately started to speak.

    - You, - she said, pointing the knight, and the balls, small and bigger - doesn't need to be here. I demand you leave, right now.

So, they all went back right away, through the portals, and their portals closed.

    - You. - Death pointed Haratchi.
    - I've said to you, Tass, that the Gods would interfere, and here it is.
    - We,... - stepped forward Drahmai - are not angry with you, Witch of the Planes. It's only that, he needed to discover himself by himself.
    - But,... my Godess,... you know my problem. They'll come to me.
    - I know what you wanted, and I know what was supposed to happen, but what you asked the Witch was a thing that would put you away from me.
    - But,... what can I do, now?
    - I'm here. You'll have time to think, while I'm here. I advise you, that I won't intefere again. If you chose again, I can do nothing.

Hadesh silenced, in the face of the very presence of his Godess.

    - Ayasta, - said Drahmai - we need to talk.

Then, Ayasta, who were watching all the time, got up and she and Drahmai, together with Death, went to the east side of that laager to talk. Hadesh noted Flausin was completelly unaware of everything. Lena was still sleeping, the vilest book on her arms. Torian and Báech were eating, cause Torian made toasted meat with fire element breath, so the smell was good.
He just sited at the side of the middle camping, and ignored everything else.

The Witch of the Planes mouthed "With your excuses, High Godesses. I need to go", and just vanished.

    (Two Hours later)

Tack noticed the presence of the three godesses of Magic at the place were creating life, modifying life, giving the stones strange properties, and other things.

    - We need to go - he said, promptly.
    - We need to wait for what the Godesses need, Tack.
    - We just need to go, Torian.

Agreed, Torian started to decamp, and dispelled his elemental protection from up, something as an invisible net to hold anything from up the mountain. This place needs a name, he thought. It will be Melleg Hills, just to remember seen three Godesses at the same time, in here. So, he noticed too that a small race of squirrel was aquiring wings, and trying to fly as never did.

    - We need to go, Tack. Now, I agree.

At this very time, the Godesses ended their talking. The first to notice was Tack, because he doesn't like Gods, anyway, but soon, everyone noticed. Hadesh was in complete silence. The flying squirrels were everywhere, now, and some were already flying.
The Essence of Death just vanished, without talking.

Hadesh sensed his Godess calling for him, and went to talk to her.

    - I'll be always with you, but I have to go now. I need to remember you, that I can't interfere again, if you chose something so unexpected.

He just umidified his lizarding lips, and waited for his Godess to go, and so, she vanished.

    - Ok. Go - resumed Tack.

    (Three Days later)

They came to a passage which would take them home, in two days, Rude explained. The warknight agreed, and said they'd better go home, what Lena's agreed too. Rude stops, analyzing the Horizon, to say something was strange, and they'd better go now. After Tack asking "Why?", Rudyn explained the Horizon's not only an effect on the Astral plane, but it reflects happenings and events on the standard plane, so something very strange has happened and it urges they come back right now.

Hadesh didn't talked anymore, but before they go he lifts his hand asking to wait.

So, he asks, calling with a hand, Tatooi, to come with him. They didn't went too far from the passage, but the takkar looked into the eyes of the daemon.

    - You can't go with us, Tatooi.
    - Why? - he was like totally missed and didn't understood.
    - You belong to the Astral, and the Standard plane's too dangerous for you. (pause). You need to take care of yourself, and be very careful not to get into trouble. Our travel together, this travel, ends here, and the most I can do for you is to say I see good in you, even if you're a daemon. Do you understand?
    - I,... think so. Well, what can I say.
    - Farewell.
    - Farewell.

Having said that, the daemon walked back, and steped into the woods of christal, an usual treelike fungus you can watch in the Astral plane.
Soon, Hadesh could not see him, anymore.

    - Good luck, Tatooi.

The travel back was followed by earthquakes. On the right place, two days later, Rude and Spike arranged a strange ritual of passage, in which they'd have to close their eyes and not think in anything from the Astral plane for at least some minutes, and after that, they opened a passage.
    They did it.

    (Back to Royal Tachiza)

Silence, was the only thing that could describe that night, on the road of Priatel territory, marked with some vultus and shadows flying up the sky. Even the stars were listening, as if some very secret had been spoken, as if the elements were all watching, waiting to see what could happen, as if a monster from the Deep were watching, in every corner of every woods.

Three hours later, they got to the entrance doors of Torian's property, and they said goodbye to Rude and his fellow Spike, the warnight.

    - My lord - said the guard, happy, but soon his face darkened - We have been waiting for you. That's hands of the Gods you're back safe.
    - What is it, guard? What happened?
    - I think the family Council must be wainting to explain everything.
    - Tell what you know.
    - Yes, if you want, my lord.
    - What is it?
    - Abbas, my lord, invaded Royal Tachiza.

They all listened, and exchanged glances, for they all know now. This is what was strange. Another empire had just invaded Royal Tachiza.

Abbas hold in their hands the five heirs to the royal Dukes.

The invaders are after a beast, with a bag. Torièn knows who he is. His family gathers, and the Council says their lands won't be invaded. Their ally on Abbas, the same family who rules the nightlings of the empire, Kokkiladon, won't let their followers to invade an ally, and after sometime, after the family Council exchange some messages with the invaders, they say the beast can be exchanged by another person. The Troll. They're not so sure, and need to wait, but Torièn knows what the Troll protects, and now he needed to ask his family leader, Antonidias, to talk, but he reveals he knows what's on that valley.

A thought occurred Torièn, and this may be a true interference from infernalists. It's impossible to know, and he can't do anything yet.

They can do nothing, but wait.

He came back to the Sancturary, and the sacerdot, his once majordomo, butler, a forgotten craftsman, introduce him to Mai. She came here by intuition, says her.

She looks only an eleven year old ejik girl.

    - Why are you here, Mai? And why did you came and ask to talk with me? - questions Torièn in a serious tone.
    - I think, Mal-ec, that,... I'm a goddess.

    (End of Session)

    Some Considerations necessary

Who are the Infernalists? Hadesh was right or wrong, in calling the Witch of the Planes? What was her trying to do it was so strong it called so much attention promptly?

About the Mythology campaigns

    Helo, and Be welcome.

Well, I could not write the new post to publish in here today, but I have great news. I did revision on my Mythology setting and campaigns, so I'll be able to play a brand new series of adventures, in which the tolkenian influences will diminish a lot, and the actual plot of the Mythology stories will follow.

There's a lot of fun into the new agenda for the Mythology stories, and hopefully the main characters will have a great part in this.

    So, be prepared to the end of the Story, and new ones. (-;

By the way, which one is your most loved character into the Mythology? You can answer at my Facebook profile, I'd love to know,...

Hope you're enjoying your reading, and,...
